If you are tax exempt you must send us a copy of your resale certificate PRIOR to auction closing, once cards are ran we cannot refund sales tax. You will be emailed a sign up link with your invoice after the close of the entire auction. ALL AMMO/ACESSORIES: No appointment is needed. PLEASE BE AWARE OF STATE LAWS AND UNDERSTAND BEFORE PLACING BIDS: Any firearm/ items that you bid on and are unable to have you are still subject to pay for, it is up to the buyer to read all terms and be responsible for all payments and passing a background check, If you cannot have the item due to laws or due to a denied background check you can re-consign to a future auction for 25% commission. ** Semi-Auto Rifles: Any purchase of a semi-auto rifle in NYS requires a permit, please call your specific county for more information. Most shipping is done in-house with insurance and a $5-10 handling fee PER BOX, The buyer is responsible for all associated shipping costs. ** We do try our best to get all packages out in a timely manner, but with everything going on in the world right now, the USPS is experiencing delays. We are asking our customers to please allow an additional 7-10 business days (this does NOT include weekends or holidays) for shipping/tracking updates. SHIPPING INSURANCE: Hessney Auction Company ships via USPS and UPS with Insurance on items over $100 at the cost of the buyer through the outside company Easy Post. If your item(s) are lost/damaged, all claims MUST be made through Hessney Auction Company within 30 days of shipment. If a claim is made independently of Hessney Auction Company, all insurance is voided, and we cannot make an additional claim on your behalf. If a claim must be made please email us and we will provide you with a detailed list of what must be included in order for us to submit it to our carrier/Insurance. *PLEASE NOTE Insurance ONLY COVERS THE PURCHASE PRICE: this is a term directly from our companies insurance. Coins can not be shipped with insurance. THIS IS ALL WE can provide for insurance, and this is directly the terms of Easy Post, our shipping providor. This is your choice as a buyer if purchasing from out of the area and needing shipping. Auctioneer’s Limitation of Liability for Transit Services: Buyer understands and agrees that Auctioneer’s liability for loss of or damage to the items, if any, ends when the items have been delivered to the Secure Location, and Auctioneer has received evidence of delivery. Any claim that property has sustained loss or damage during transit must be reported to Auctioneer within seventy-two (72) hours of the delivery date. Under no circumstances is Auctioneer liable for consequential orpunitive damages. * SHIPMENTS must be sent to the billing address of the card holder. or the FFL Dealer address on license, No Charge for NICBC (Background) Checks for firearms picked up at Hessney Auction Co. that are purchased AT OUR Auction. * If you fail your background check you will NOT get a refund, you can consign it to a future auction. *NOTE: New York State law requires that a National Instant Criminal Background Check must be completed prior to all firearm sales or transfers, including sales or transfers of rifles or shotguns. The sale of transfer of a firearm, rifle or shotgun at a gun auction without first conducting a Background Check is a crime. ** If you are tax exempt you MUST notify us prior to the close of the auction, along with a copy of the form, if not you will be charged tax. We cannot remove tax once the card has been processed. If you would like your items shipped please contact our office as soon as possible with shipping information, including your FFL (If required) Any item deemed to large to ship in house will be brought to the UPS Store at your expense. All Ammo is shipped via UPS - no Ammo can be shipped to a NYS resident but can be shipped to an FFL near you. * We do NOT ship powder or primers or mounts Everything is sold AS IS. WHERE IS. All Sales are Final- No Returns. Hessney Auction Co. provides ample opportunity for buyers to thoroughly inspect goods to be sold. All purchases should be made on the buyer's own recognizance. All persons bidding in absentee who have not physically inspected the goods prior to the sale are also subjected to these terms. All lots are sold "As is". There are no warranties expressed or implied, including, but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Hessney Auction Co. and consigners make no guarantee or warranty as to the authenticity of the merchandise, the correctness of the catalog, nor shall any description (oral or written) of condition, size, quality, rarity, importance or provenance be deemed a guarantee. * Condition is listed with obvious flaws, or noted if firearm are new, unfired in box. "As New" does not mean "New" it is a condition report, meaning the firearm is "as new condition". If a firearm is brand new- unfired, it will be listed as so. * Box Lot Ammo- Please be sure to review photos & full descriptions for box lot ammo, all is sold as is. In person preview is available. Box lot ammo may contain mixed, partial or full boxes and is sold as is. The lot descriptions are meant merely as a guide and we do not guarantee the counts or descriptions described therein.
