They will add the handgun to your permit and issue you a purchase coupon for your handgun. You will then come to pick up your hangun at Hessney Auction Center. Be sure to bring NYS pistol permit, receipt, and purchase coupon . * MONROE COUNTY Hand Gun Buyers, Your county requires extra paperwork, we have over 500 buyers per auction, you must REQUEST your counties paperwork from us by EMAIL, with your full name and we will email it back to you, this request must be made with at least 24 hour notice to your scheduled County Appointment, you cannot call us while at the county and expect this paperwork to be sent over in 5 minutes. Please Advise. * Each county may have different hours/instructions. We realize many cannot pick up the week after auction; simply make an appointment by email for Monday - Wednesday the following week (or when you receive your purchase coupon). All firearm purchases require a Federal Background Check (NICS Check) unless you have a Federal Firearms License. All pistols require a NYS pistol permit unless you have a federal firearms license.
