VIN #45637K110633. Odometer: 75,933. This car was Al's pride and joy. Anyone who knew Al, knew what he put into the car. The engine on the stand is a 283 and is included with the stand as shown. The other 283 engine is also included as shown. All of the parts & accessories (new & used) are included as shown. See the attachments for more info. The bowtie 420 hp. build sheet was what the family believes Pro Machine did the build from. They haven't been able to confirm anything definite about the offset crank grind to give the extra hp. that Al always talked about. A clear WI title & keys included. Starts, runs & drives. Written by Brad Struemke ( Al's son). The engine is a 400ci small block that was bored out .030". The transmission is a "Bowtie overdrive" 2004R Level 2 It has a 3k Rpm stall converter on it also. The engine was originally built to the specs by Pro machine of Woodville to the specs sheets provided from an "Edelbrock Building a Bowtie 420hp Package ''. That sheet is in the receipt folder. The engine was balanced also. The original transmission built for the car was a 2-speed power glide that is crated next to the car. Dad after having run that one for a few years decided he liked driving it but wanted better gas mileage =). He then put in the 4-speed overdrive. The specs for testing the pressures and setup are in the receipts also. It has a Powertrax rear end locker setup with updated axles with safety clips. There are many other items that unfortunately I can't remember them all but if anyone knew Dad (Al) they know he kept adding in the next level of enhancements. Sway bars to many other items to "help her go a little bit faster". Now for this I don't have the exact info, but Dad always talked about how they did an offset grind on the crank to get some more hp. We unfortunately don't have the exact info, the receipts for the crank grinding are in the files for the car but it was told to me that this setup should have put the engine at a little over 500hp. The car can and will run on premium pump gas (nothing less!) but it will run best with racing fuel (105-110 octane). Dad would often go to the Amery airport to fill the old girl up, especially when he was looking to have some fun. Side notes from Brad: Dad would often run at the Iola Fun Runs and always kept getting to the next level. Some of the times he was running in the quarter mile he was in the 11 sec range at around 100+ mph. His racing slips are in the receipt folder also.
