1966 Ford Mustang Coupe GT Tribute: just in time for fall cruising – this ’66 GT Tribute Car has a lot to offer! Starting off with the color- the Signal Flare Red paint and body work are in great shape, turning heads wherever you go. This is a factory C-code V-8 car from the start and the addition of the GT package with the white GT stripes offer a nice contrast to that deep red exterior. You’ll also notice the factory styled steel wheels wrapped in BFG Radial T/A’s (235/60R14) front and rear keep you on track and look great doing it. Moving inside, you’ll be riding around in a standard black interior that is in great condition and its clean and classic lines have stood the test of time. The gauges are crisp and functional, and the odometer shows 78,100 miles. There is an aftermarket AM/FM Cassette radio and JVC speakers in the rear to keep your favorite soundtrack going over the gorgeous exhaust note of the V-8 up front. Speaking of that V-8, let’s talk mechanicals: motivating things, is a classic 289 V-8 with an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and 4-barrel carburetor. The exact history isn’t known on the engine, but it sounds great and runs out well. Additional information includes a Flame Thrower ignition, chromed shorty exhaust headers, and a nice dual exhaust. There is also a chrome Export Brace and Monte Carlo Bar to keep things stiffened up and an aluminum radiator and overflow tank keeping things cool. Finishing up the engine, is a Ford Racing dress up package with valve covers and air cleaner. Overall, a nice mix of style and function. The brakes are stock drum units with a stock dual chamber master cylinder getting the job done. Other points of interest include an aftermarket sport steering wheel and a nicely appointed trunk area with a few extras thrown in that will go with it. Note: the missing "F" from the hood will be replaced by close of auction. The owner is only selling to find a late-model pony car, this classic could be yours!
