Franklin Prosser, PH.D. is an esteemed historian and author best known for his research on Allied psychological operations during World War 2. His research and articles have appeared in Psywarrior, a premier educational repository of psychological warfare dedicated to history, artifacts and tactics of psychological warfare. Prosser has co-authored detailed studies with military historian Herbert A Friedman. Collection of original gold star and sterling lapel pins 1947 for identification for widows, widowers, parents and next of kin of members of the armed forces who lost their lives while engaged in an action against an enemy of the United States.

Artwork includes early paintings from the MFA program at Yale, drawings and color studies, original art for Bill Itter's Christmas cards with inscriptions to his wife Diane. William Itter was an artist, award-winning educator, and generous philanthropist who influenced generations of students over 35 years at Indiana University. A devoted husband to textile artist Diane Itter, he helped organize major retrospectives of her work after her passing. He also exhibited his own art at Chicago’s Sonia Zak and Douglas Dawson galleries. A passionate collector since the 1970's, Itter assembled a wide-ranging collection of ceramics, textiles, baskets, and masks, with a special focus on African ceramics. His collecting informed both his teaching and creative practice, serving as a “library of visual forms and ideas.” He donated his collections to the Eskenazi Museum of Art and established the William and Diane Itter Objects Study to support student engagement with global art.

Day One: Friday September 11 with first lots closing online at 10AM. Day Two: Sunday September 13 closing online at 6PM. The collection includes a wide variety of pots, ceramics, figures, stools, headrests, beads and beading, books, masks, textiles and hats from multiple groups and countries. All objects in this sale and the following sale on Sunday are from the collection of William (Bill) Itter and his wife Diane Itter. The majority of the items are of 20th Century origin from African countries and peoples and that of Papua New Guinea.
