ONE CANADA - MEMOIRS - the 13th Prime Minister of Canada, serving from 1957 to 1963. As the leader of the Progressive Conservative Party, Diefenbaker's tenure was marked by significant achievements, including the passage of the Canadian Bill of Rights in 1960 and the appointment of the first female minister in Canadian history. His government also extended the right to vote to First Nations peoples and pursued policies to promote economic development in the North.
