An EXTREMELY rare vintage 1988 THE HISTORY OF THE DC UNIVERSE POSTER. This poster features many DC Comics characters and the mock signatures (not the actual signatures) of the artists that drew them. It was a mail-away poster from the History of the DC Universe hardcover book. It is the poster of the foldout that was included in that book when you purchased the first hardbacks of History of the DC Universe. It came with a postcard you sent in and they would send you this poster. Total number of copies of this poster vary but most agree there were no more than a few thousand made. Artists Include : Jim Mooney, Jim Aparo, Steve Bissette/John Totleben, Denys Cowan, P. Printed on heavyweight stock Measures 30"x15". It has never been hung or displayed, so no pin holes or tape markings. There is some minor edge wear as pictured. It is in otherwise excellent condition. This will ship flat as it has been shrink wrapped to protect the poster.

For local bidders, lots from this auction may be picked up and invoices can be paid starting at 12pm noon on the Monday following the auction's close. For everyone else, shipping costs will be assessed and invoices will start becoming available later that day. Pick-up is available Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, at our shipping & receiving entrance.

All lots are sold AS-IS WHERE-IS.
Auction items are open to thorough public inspection by appointment before every auction. It is the Bidder's responsibility to determine condition, age, genuineness, value or any other determinative factor. Back to the Past (BTTP) may attempt to describe the merchandise in advertising, on the Internet and at the auction but makes no representations. In no event shall BTTP be held responsible for having made or implied any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Bidder shall be the sole judge of value. Bidders who bid from off site and are not present at the live auction or preview understand and acknowledge that they may not be able to inspect an item as well as if they examined it in person.
BTTP shall endeavor to describe in detail each item and any pertinent information about it. BTTP will not be responsible for any errors or omissions in the description of the merchandise unless it is a material and intentional misrepresentation of the item itself.
BTTP is providing Internet pre-auction and live bidding as a service to Bidder. Bidder acknowledges and understands that this service may or may not function correctly the day of the auction. Under no circumstances shall Bidder have any kind of claim against BTTP if the Internet service fails to work correctly before or during the live auction. BTTP will not be responsible for any missed bids from any source. Internet bidders who desire to make certain their bid is acknowledged should use the proxy-bidding feature and leave their maximum bid 24 hours before the auction begins.
BTTP reserves the right to withdraw or re-catalog items in this auction.
IF YOU ARE LOCAL TO THE SHOP: We will assume you prefer local pickup if you are within a 30-minute drive of our store. Please let us know if you prefer us to ship your package, instead.
EVERYBODY ELSE: Verification & invoicing will happen in approximately 24-48 hours following the auction, after which we calculate shipping and email the invoice. Shortly after you've received this email, we will bill your credit card and ship out your package. Your invoice must be paid in full before anything ships out. NO EXCEPTIONS.
We ship with both FEDEX and the US Postal Service, looking for the best balance of speed vs. cost, and will do our darnedest to keep shipping costs low. BTTP auctions charge a minimum $6.00 shipping fee, further calculated to exact rates.
Note that oversized items like racks, framed pictures or other large items will significantly impact shipping costs, so take that into consideration while you are bidding.

We are open 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. We will sometimes be closed for holidays or inclement weather, so calling ahead is always advised.
