In order not to pay sales tax a Bill of Lading or Dock Receipt is required. *Years on the lots may indicate model year during which they were put in service rather than when manufactured. *Insurance and removal is the buyer's responsibility. *Cochran Auctioneers will, at the sole risk of the buyer, assist in loading out non-rolling stock, provided such equipment can be safely lifted by our forklifts. *Bidder acknowledges that an auction site is a potentially dangerous place. Flammable, noxious, corrosive and pressurized substances are present, heavy equipment is being operated and electric circuits may be live. Every person at the auction site at any time shall be there at his own risk, with notice of the condition of the premises and the activities thereon and Bidder shall so advise his agents and employees. No person shall have any claim against Auctioneers, their agents, employees, or principals for any injuries sustained, nor for damages to or loss of property which may occur from any cause whatsoever. DISCREPANCIES: In account of ANY discrepancies, the auctioneer and the clerk's record keeping will be the FINAL judgment. TITLE POLICY: There is a $35.00 handling charge per titled vehicle and/or trailer. When filling out the title information-make sure your name and address are correct at that time. If a title cannot be supplied for an item that was sold with a title, the Purchaser is entitled only to a refund of the purchase price upon return of the item. Cochran Auctioneers charge all buyers 6% MD sales tax & 10% fee on each item selling for $5,000 or less. For items $5,001 & up there is a $500 flat fee. For tax exemption, bidders MUST have a MD sales tax exemption number. PLEASE NOTE IF YOU PAY ONLINE OTHER CHARGES WILL APPLY!
All items are to be removed 10 days after auction. Forklift is available absolutely only until Friday after auction. Removal shall be at the expense, liability and risk of the purchaser. Purchases can be removed only on presentation of paid bill. Once the bidder is successful on items, the items become the responsibility of the bidder. J.G.
