Auction Terms & Conditions A buyer's premium of 20% will be charged. All cards will be charged Sunday evening if not paid in person before then. Sales tax will be charged unless you have an exemption number on file. This auction features an auto bid extend. Auction end times: Mayer Auction Company LLC Online Auctions are timed events and all bidding will close at specified time with an auto extend feature. When a bid is placed in the final 2 minutes of bidding the auction bidding will automatically be extended 2 minutes from the time the bid was placed. Our staff does NOT move carry or load items for you. You must provide any packing material or boxes needed for transport of items. FAILURE TO PICK UP ITEMS ***Buyers who fail to pick up their purchases by the auction pickup date charged $5 per item on smaller items and $25 per item on larger items for removal. SHIPPING: All items are considered sold with local pickup. However, as an inducement for us to offer to ship items to you, you agree to take full responsibility of items once they are shipped and you will be charged a shipping and handling charge (which may be charged separately from your invoice for items sold or may be charged on the same invoice). Shipping and handling is not refundable under any circumstances. Shipping is within 2 weeks of payment. You will be responsible to request insurance if any is desired and responsible for working with the carrier to file any insurance claim in the event of lost or stolen packages. We will only ship to buyers with good HiBid feedback and only will ship to the same address as your BILLING ADDRESS. Only items with a blue truck icon will be eligible for shipping. US shipping ONLY. Our shipper has shipped over 50,000 packages and does have adequate packing material to do their best to secure items for shipment. We will partner with this shipper if you agree to not hold us or them liable for items damaged in shipping. If you want us to dispose of the item and refund shipping amount, you must contact us by the Wednesday after the at 5:00PM EST or items will be submitted to our shipper and they may begin packaging them. Shipping is the retail/counter rate plus a handling charge. We will guarantee that shipping will be cheaper than the method many auction houses use: I.E., they charge $5 an item to drop off at UPS store and then asks the UPS store to package and ship it at your expense. However, even though we are cheaper than the UPS store to ship, packaging and handling is NOT free. By registering for this auction (and not picking items up during our local pickup time frame), you agree to allow us to charge you for shipping, packaging, and handling separately from your total bill for the items. It may take up to 2 weeks after the last pickup day / payment day before items are shipped. For this specific auction, we have a number of large items like guitars. Keep in mind that guitar boxes cost us about $13 a piece, plus retail postage rates, plus the time of our shipper and other packaging materials such as bubble wrap. Large items will be costly to ship and your method of payment will be charged after items are packaged or mocked up but before postage is purchased. You may e-mail us for a tracking number if you wish. All items are sold "AS IS, WHERE IS" with all faults. No implied or expressed warranties. All descriptions believed accurate but not warranted. Bidder inspection is encouraged and preview times are available. By placing a bid, bidder signifies that they have examined the items to their satisfaction, or that they have chosen not to personally examine them. We reserve the right to reject any bid at our sole discretion. In the event of failure of the online bidding system or other technical failure, Mayer Auction Company reserves the right to cancel and/or reopen the auction. The bidder contract entered into between the bidder whose name is registered to this account and Mayer Auction Company, LLC. Bidder and auctioneers agree that the terms listed below shall govern this auction. 1. Full payment shall be made before any items leave the premises. 2. Terms of auction: Unless auction is announced as absolute the auctioneer/auction firm has the right to reject any and all bids. The Auction firm further has the right to bid on behalf of the buyer, the seller, or on their behalf. Payment for purchases must be made according to terms of each particular auction. All checks must be made payable to Mayer Auction Company, LLC. A Buyers premium will be added to bid price to arrive at the sale price. Any sales tax would be figured on this final sale price. All sales are subject to State Sales Tax Laws. Bidders agree not to stop payment on checks is responsible for any expenses due to collection of bad checks. As an inducement to encourage the auctioneer to accept credit cards, the bidder agrees not to pursue chargebacks on any credit card payments. NO WARRANTY: The descriptions of items in this auction are believed to be correct. Never the less, neither those descriptions nor any oral statements made by Owner, its Officers, Agents or Employees of auctions concerning any item shall be constructed as a warranty, either express or implied. ITEMS ARE SOLD AS IS - WHERE IS. SETTLEMENT: Must be made at the conclusion of the auction. No items will be removed before settlement is made. Merchandise becomes the full responsibility of the Buyer at time of purchase, and Buyer assumes all risk of loss and damage to property. RESALE: Auction Firm reserves the right to resell any property not paid for in full on payment day. The Buyer shall be responsible to Auction Firm for any expenses of resale and collection and damages resulting from the resale. Items not paid for or left beyond the cutoff date for pickup are treated as abandoned and may be resold by the auction company at any time as if they are their own property. INJURY & DAMAGE: Bidder acknowledges responsibility for any personal injury or property damage caused by Bidder or his Agent, and further agrees to hold the Auction firm, property owner, Owners, its Officers, or Employees harmless for any personal injury to himself or his Agents and any property damage incurred on auction premises or pick up location. By registering for this auction you give Mayer Auction Company, LLC Auctioneers permission to add you to their call, mailing and electronic mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time. Our location in Brookneal, VA will be used to determine any legal jurisdiction. Items of high value (as determined by the auctioneer) may require certified funds (I.E. Cash, Western Union, etc), especially if the buyer has low feedback and requires shipping. Items will be picked up at the location of the auction which may vary. Items sold at 118 Commerce Street in Brookneal can be inspected any Wednesday from 2-6 during our open consignment drop off period. Mayer Auction Company LLC is a licensed Federal Firearm Dealer and the firearms can be transferred on site (all Virginia Gun laws apply). Virginia residents only.
