The Holy Moses property began as a gold mine as far back as 1890. There is extensive documentation on the exports and valuations of silver at that time. Fortunately, or unfortunately, the mills were set to process the silver ores, so when the ores at depth started showing more gold and far less silver, the miners were left with no way to process their ores. The property contains a variety of adits that were largely cut in the mid to late 1950s and early 1960s.
