Large 30 inch wide double sided gas station sign advertising Texaco oil and gas company, originally called the Texas Company. These signs were used in front of the old Texaco filling stations atop a roadside sign base and were double sided so they could be read from both directions. This one is dated 1946 and carries the familiar Texaco red star that was so prevalent in Texas small towns in the 1940s 1950s and 1960s. The porcelain has a few blemishes as to be expected see photos.

Old cartridge gun belt made of leather by Elbert Everet Dabney, born 1866, a saddlemaker / leather craftsman from Deleon in Comanche County Texas, son of Texas Confederate soldier Nathan Dabney. Elbert appears to have begun making saddles and leather goods in the 1890s during the Indian Wars. About the time Model T Fords began to roll out he appears to have opened a hardware store for awhile. He passed away in 1942. Belt is signed EE DABNEY, maker, De Leon Texas. It is also stamped B.O. Hawkins, Desdemona, to whom the belt probably originally was made for. Desdemona is a GHOST TOWN, one of the oldest settlements in Texas west of the Brazos River, located east of Abilene. This is Benjamin Otis Hawkins, who was a farmer in Desdemona. May be missing a little bit off the end strap. It is about 38 inches long.

Benjamin is in Knox County about 90 miles north of Abilene Texas and has a population of under 200 people now, ie approaching ghost town status. One of these still has the 1909 calendar attached. This is a very heavy piece, dates to WW1 / World War 1 era. Would have gone in a large cannon / gun. On the 4th tier down from the tip there is a ruler / scale, and under that it is marked Model 1907 M. Looks to be made of brass and cast iron.

It contains about 30 pieces of old brass and copper relics / metal detector finds from western Navarro County Texas. The old 45 caliber bullet casings were found outside the old Frost city jail within a few feet of each other, fancy antique copper compact was found 2 miles south of Blooming Grove. The heavy solid copper rectangle appears to be a photograph plate of a house or building, was dug up many years ago where the Blooming Grove TX fire station now sits. Lots more here.

RARE brass instrument in original wooden case, used for making copies of existing maps on a larger or smaller scale. The wooden original box is approximately 3 feet long. This device was invented by William Wallace of Edinburgh Scotland. Production of this particular instrument was done by manufacturer ADIE and SONS, OPTICIANS, INSTRUMENT MAKER TO THE QUEEN, of Edinburgh and the piece is elaborately signed on a brass plate as pictured. . Possibly used by map maker's in the USA during Civil War.

Rare old art nouveau antique pewter pitcher, we see no dents. Kayserzinn was founded in Krefeld Germany by Jean Kayser in 1862. His son then opened a workshop in Cologne Germany in 1894.

Incised stamped mark on the base is difficult to read but it says "MEIGH Improved Stone China HANLEY". Job Meigh (1750-1817) founded the Old Hall Pottery in Hanley, Staffordshire, England in 1790. In 1812 son Charles Meigh joined him as a partner. After Job's death it was Charles Meigh Pottery, and in 1851 Charles' son joined him and it became Charles Meigh and Son. The mark on this piece was used from about 1835 to about 1860.

Patent date at bottom edge May 11, 1926. Embossed Quality Beverages Property of Coca Cola Bottling Co. and embossed Mexia Texas on the base. Straight sided with basketweave design. Difficult to read but believe it says 3 Rivers which would mean it was made at the old 3 Rivers Texas glass plant.

Label is missing, not sure who made it. We see similar guitars that were made in Spain and Japan and imported to the USA. Used condition see photos.

Necklace chain is 18 inches long, the tip opposite the clasp is disconnected, needs repaired, marked 585 which is the European mark for 14k gold. The ring is size 3 but expandable and is marked 14k Italy. WHITE GOLD is an alloy of gold, nickel, and zinc. 14k white gold is about 58.3 % gold purity. The 3 pieces here weigh 2.8 grams.

Antique bell probably circa 1900-1930, could be older. In the rural south USA 100 years ago there were tiny community schoolhouses every few miles within walking distance for children. A bell such as this was used to call the children in from recess or to let them know school was beginning or ending. Very loud ring! These were also used by western ranchers / cowboys to call cattle, as well as by ship / boat captains or mates / nautical use. This one is larger than average with the bell bottom being 5+ inches wide.

These both work great. The electric socket parts are different so one of them has probaby been replaced at some point. One still has the original foil label.

Swedish coffee set circa 1950s 60s includes coffee pot / teapot, 4 cups, creamer, sugar bowl, salt and pepper shakers. The coffee pot is porcelain and the rest of the set is ceramic. The wording on the coffee pot and cups says "Coffee is the best of all earthly drinks". On the shakers and cream and sugar set it says "Its so good". Berggren Traynor was founded by Arthur & Audrey Berggren in 1948 and the company was sold in 1986. We see no chips cracks or repairs.

He oversaw every saddle that the company produced, passed away in 2019.

Excellent antique storage crock from Geddes, NY. William Farrar opened the original pottery in Geddes in the 1840s and it was sold to a Mr Shepard in 1857. Later potters in Geddes were Lyman Clark and Henry Case of Empire Pottery opening in 1868. Chas & Wm Coykendall and also opening in 1868 as did Hubbell and Cheesebro. Probably this crock was made by one of these potters. We see no issues with condition please see photos for yourself.

And the the rest, beneath the ruler and left of the green pen is 12k gf, weighs 107.1 grams. A lot of the chains have knots and there is broken jewelry / scrap, but there are also some nice pieces in here and some advertising pins - Mobil Oil pegasus pin , RCA employee pin, Eastern Star pendant, cross pendants, a nice bracelet with colored stones engraved Mother, a nice heavy 20 inch chain, 2 nice pairs of earrings, among others.

These belonged to a St Louis Southwestern Cotton Belt employee. Cotton Belt vintage hardhat, Handmade Cotton Belt caboose wooden bird house, and a Cotton Belt toy railroad car.

There is no date or manufacturer mark on this piece, but Coca Cola came out with the "Pause That Refreshes" slogan in 1929. This sign is porcelain over heavy steel and is an advertising door push plate that would have gone on a screen door or entry door into a drug store / soda fountain / cafe.

Her movies included Three Little Words, Singin in the Rain, Affairs of Dobie Gillis, The Mating Game, and many others. She was mother of Carrie Fisher of Star Wars / Princess Leia fame.

Signed WA Sheaffer. Does have a name engraved on it. Nib says Sheaffer Feather Touch. Also the little metal pump handle is missing. And there is a crack inside the pen on the nib as pictured. For parts or repair.
