He officiated 15 major bowl games and two national championships Degree in Art at Austin College, he has done illustrations , book covers and magazines,as well as, children's books. Involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Big Brother/Big Sister and Coaches Outreach Ministry. Referee in the Burt Reynolds movie "Semi Tough" in 1977, filmed in the Cotton Bowl.
