Lead Remington, U.S. Model of 1917,
Description
.30-06 sprg, s/n 542092, rifle, brl length 26", bolt action, good condition, Manufactured October 1918, having "R" flaming bomb "9-18" barrel stamping. Left side of receiver has flaming bomb proof with left side of stock stamped "RA-P" in square and a proof underside of wrist. Smooth walnut stock with finger groove forend showing light scattered indentation with leather sling. Most bluing present on metal surfaces with start of brown patina on receiver and floor plate with area of freckling throughout mostly on butt & floor plates and some very light surface rust at front of barrel. Bore is dark. 7-9-13
