16 ga., 11.15 x 6 or mauser ?, s/n 4420, Drilling, brl length 23.75", back action hammer, very good condition, 16 gauge upper barrels with mirror bright smooth bores showing a little dirt. Rifled barrel is of an unknown caliber. The case measurements should be base .500" the rim .610" with the bore measuring .430". Cartridge base and rim measurements are exact with bore being approximate between lands and grooves starting approx 2.442". Walnut checkered pistol grip stock and forend with cheek rest horn grip cap and serrated horn butt plate with engraved underside ammunition storage compartment. Wood shows only very light wear with some moderate wear to checkering mostly left side at wrist. The horn pieces do show some small losses. No case colors left on receiver, locks, guards of levers but all are nicely engraved. Tang mounted safety with gold inlaid "S" & "K". Take down lever is right of center and everything is tight. Front trigger is of the set type. Barrels appear to have been reblued for there is a small amount of pinpoint pitting in some area under finish but all marking are easily visible. Some areas of the silvered out metal does show light freckling. 2 position folding rear sight with fixed front. Sling swivels. 7-4-5
