.38-55 wcf, rifle, s/n 55474, brl length 36" #3 octagonal, falling block, very good plus condition, Rare 36" barrel manufactured 1892 with very shiny bore having crisp roll marks on barrel with edges showing only slight wear with 1 small tool mark just in front of forend left side flat and on edge top left side 12" from muzzle. Metal surfaces have a light gray/brown patina throughout. Adjustable rear with fixed blade front. Smooth straight grip walnut stock showing only a few light handling marks having a black tipped schnabel forend with small notch right underside front.
