Lead *Rare Consecutive Serial Numbered Pair
Description
of Winchester 1866 SRCs: 1) Winchester, 1866 SRC, carbine, .44 cal., sn163916, 20" barrel, lever action, good condition, Folding 2 position rear sight with fixed front, left side mounted saddle ring and steel carbine butt plate. The brass frame has a nice medium tonal patina throughout with most areas showing indentations, tool marks and scratches. Serial number on bottom tang is earily visible. Round barrel with full length tube mag having a nice bore good rifle with shine and only a few areas of very light pitting. Showing light brown to dark patina throughout. 2 line barrel address is faint but present. Metal surfaces showing a few light surface scratches with some pitting in spots on lever, bolt, loading gate, etc. Smooth walnut straight grip stock and forend have a "C.C." engraved right side of butt with a crack at right side of forend showing light scattered scratches and a few indentations with a scuff top left at comb. 2) Winchester, 1866 SRC, carbine, .44 cal., sn163917, 20" barrel, lever action, good condition, Folding adjustale rear sight with fixed front, left side mounted saddle ring and steel carbine butt plate. The brass frame has a nice medium tonal patina throught with a few darker spots on left side showing scattered indentations and tool marks in areas and an easily visible serial number on bottom tang. Round barrel with nice 2 line address roll mark and full length tub mag show brown/gray mottled patina with some areas of dark freckling. Metal surfaces show few areas of very light pitting in spots with just a couple light tool marks. Bore shows rifling with some areas of pitting. Smooth walnut straight grip stock and forend show light wear with some indentation on butt stock and a small repair at top of butt plate. Forend has small crack with losses left side in front of barrel band having a few small light indentations. Both being manufactured in 1886 this is your opportunity to own a rare consecutively serial numbered pair of 1866 Winchester Saddle Ring Carbines.
