.450" bore, muzzle loading pistol, s/n NSN, brl length 9" octagonal, percussion, very good plus condition, Beautiful relief carved walnut stock with checkered grip showing only light wear to checkering and having only scattered light indentations mostly underside forward of trigger guard, all metal surfaces including rear of barrel having engraving with shell on lock and flower motif under finial on butt with the finial having a .635" drop, the top of barrel is marked "2" inside a circle with a mirror bright rifled bore a fine point front post and notch rear sight, barrel keeper wedge cap is also engraved as is the surrounding escutcheon, ornate trigger guard, metal surfaces show little wear with a nice light brown patina on rear of barrel, pistol comes in wooden case with accessories that is blue and purple velvet lined, brass name plate on lid of chest reads "HOWARD BLODETT/OWNER/SCHUYLERVILLE.
