.44 cal, BP revolver, s/n 3863, brl length 7.75", percussion single action, good plus condition, brass frame, trigger guard and back strap showing only minor wear, sail ship battle scene 16 May 1843 engraved on cylinder with finish showing thinning mostly on edges and having a visible drag line, blued finish on barrel shows light scratches right side as well as scattered light freckling and pin point pitting left side at muzzle, fixed brass front sight, bore shows light pitting, traces of case coloring visible on loading lever, attachment points for shoulder stock
