.45 ACP, s/n C233591, pistol, brl length 5", semi auto, very good condition, Manufactured 1948, right side of frame roll stamped "GOVERNMENT MODEL" over serial number with a 2 line designation right side of slide, left side of slide has single line standard address, rear slide serrations with fixed sights, trigger, back strap and takedown lever are all serrated while hammer spur and magazine release button are checkered, bluing shows light scattered surface scratches in some areas with light freckling reward of slide serrations right side as well as slide transforming edge above Colt right side, Colt marked magazine, bore shines bright, comes with a box and papers, the bottom of the box and Colt pistol pamphlet are from an earlier era pistol, the box bottom is blue wrapped with "Colt Automatic Pistol./Rimless Smokeless .45" blue paper label, the pamphlet is the Form A-1661 no r version, the box top is of the period and is brown wood grained with yellow label, both top and bottom have had tape applied and show light wear 7-1-9
