.45 Colt, s/n 24876, revolver, brl length 5.5", double action, very good condition, this is a scarce U.S.M.C. 1909 revolver, 1 of 1,300 produced by Colt, unfortunately the butt roll stamp has been filed/ground away, there is a "T" inspection stamp just above the serial number on the frame with a "Triangle VP" proof mark above front left side trigger guard and "3" assembler's mark at rear, roll mark on left side of barrel reads "COLT D.A. 45" with 2 line barrel address on top having July 4 1905 as last Patent date, the high gloss blued finish shows scattered tiny losses left side with thinning on right and very light surface scratches in spots, walnut checkered grip panels show light wear to checkering with thinning on lower left side, bore shines bright, missing the ejector rod cap, serial number on frame, crane & last 4 on cylinder release flat all match 7-7-13
