Sept. 7, 1897, one of a 2 firearm shipment, original blued finish showing traces on barrel at frame with a nice patina and light freckling, showing some scattered tool marks, bore shines, left side of barrel reads "(Bisley Model)" over "Colt Frontier Six Shooter" with top having 2 line address roll mark, hard rubber checkered grip panels showing slight wear with small loss left side border, blade front sight, checkered hammer spur, frame, trigger guard and back strap numbers all matching with loading gate number 771, Earliest known smokeless frame in the antique serial number range
