.44-40 cal, revolver, s/n 178981, brl length 7.5", single action, very good condition, nickel finish, Manufactured 1898, frame, trigger guard, back strap and cylinder all have matching numbers with replacement mother of pearl grip panels that show light wear, bore has shine with only a few spots of very light pitting, nickel finish is still present on hammer, back strap, trigger guard and trigger as well as back lower portion of frame with remaining metal surfaces showing light freckling having scattered light tool marks, there is a quarter circle "H" lightly carved onto butt believed to belong to Quarter H Brand prop house at one time for the silver screen
