Registration
Upon registration, we gather necessary information to confirm your identity before granting bidding privileges. This includes collecting credit card details to ascertain your eligibility as a buyer. It's essential that all bidders meet the legal age requirements. Please ensure the information provided for your credit card is accurate. The billing address on file must match the address associated with your credit card for successful payment processing.
Payment
Registering for an auction incurs no fees. Upon your initial registration, a $1 USD charge is processed to validate the card, which will be refunded within a few days. Your credit card will only be charged if you win an auction and fail to pay within the designated pickup period. Upon winning, you must settle your payment during the scheduled pickup timeframe. Accepted payment methods include cash, E Transfer Visa, or Mastercard, Failure to collect your items within the allotted time will result in charges to your credit card for the winning bid amount, along with 5% CC charge, taxes, and the first day storage fees may incur If your purchases exceed your credit limit, a deposit may be charged to your card, with the remaining balance due, either in person at our Pick Up facility.
Payments must be made upon pick up of your items. Payments can be made by Visa, Mastercard, E-transfer or Cash. Cash must be exact change.
0% Buyer's Premium & $1 Handling Fee
It's important to consider the 0% Buyer's FEE. For instance, if you bid $30, NO Buyer's Premium, + $1.00 Handling fee +. Taxes.. Your Item will now be $35.03 Total all in.
Reviewing Bids
Throughout the auction, you have the ability to monitor the status of your bids at any time. Please note that bids cannot be retracted after for any reason. All bids are legally binding and enforceable in Ontario, Canada. You have the option to receive email notifications during the auction if you've been outbid. Please be aware that outbid notifications are not sent during the last two hours of the sale.
Collect & Pick up
Buyers are responsible for their removal in a professional manner. Specific removal terms may apply to on-site auctions. You must bring all necessary tools, equipment, and labor for the disconnection and removal of purchased items. Our onsite security personnel are not involved in removal activities. Please plan accordingly and come prepared. Items not removed by the designated days and times will be considered abandoned, regardless of their price. If you are in a position where you are not able to come, then you must contact us before the pick up times and days expire.
The schedule days/times for item retrieval will be emailed to you after the Auction close. If you are unable to arrange for item pickup or shipping, please refrain from bidding. Any item not retrieved during the scheduled pickup times will be considered abandoned. All items are sold in their current condition, and any faults are acknowledged. In the event of item abandonment, your credit card will be charged for the item's purchase price, as well as the costs associated with removal, and a restocking fee.
Item Condition
While we strive to accurately represent and describe all items through detailed information and photographs, it's important to note that all items are sold on an 'as is' basis, with all faults. We highly recommend that all bidders personally research each item to verify its condition, make or model. The auctioneer nor seller make any warranty or guarantee, expressed or implied. North Star Auction Inc. shall not be held responsible for advertising discrepancies or inaccuracies.
Announcements & Internet Bidding Disclaimer
Any Announcements made on day of sale supersede all printed material. Auctioneer reserves the right to reject the bid of anyone who is not a registered bidder. Auctioneer shall have no responsibility for internet bidding interruption or delays beyond control. Internet bidders be aware that due to the nature of the internet, delays in transmission could result in the auctioneer failing to recognize your bid. Auctioneer will work to accommodate varying internet speeds but is not responsible for the final result of delays
Refunds & Errors
If there is a discrepancy between the description and the picture in a lot, the description will be considered the primary reference. All items are sold on an 'as is' basis, with all faults. However, If there is an major error listed in the description, a refund can be issued. Please note that a refund will only be acknowledged if there is a valid error and will not be honored for any other reason.
In a situation where an item is listed in error or cannot be located during pickup for any reason, the bidder acknowledges that their sole recourse is a full refund for the specific item.
Liability
Purchaser does hereby indemnify and hold harmless the auctioneer and seller from any and all damages, claims or liabilities from injuries to persons or property of any type whatsoever caused during the sale or by the removal or shipping of items purchased.
