Lead Chinese Hanging Wall Plaque
Description
Chinese Hanging Wall Plaque Three framed porcelain wall plaques, each figural with glazed and enamel scenes, script to each. Encapsulated in wood frame with dark stain. Top plaque measures 4 ½" x 7 ½"; middle and bottom, 7 ¼" x 4 ?" each. Inscribed top part: "(Everyone is) joyful or cheerful / Painted in the 3rd lunar month of Ji Wei year (1895 or 1955) in Zhushan (a district of Jingde Town in Jiangxi province, or a town in Hunan or Hubei province) / “Zhi Seal”. Inscription middle and lower parts: "The melodious sound of the guqin or zither spreads unwavering love. / Painted in the 7th lunar month of Ji Wei year (1895 or 1955) / “Zhi Seal”.
