Fought more than a century ago, World War I engulfed Europe in the largest, deadliest conflict up to that time. Relics of the Great War still occasionally come up for sale or auction online. Artifacts from this war are mostly hard goods, such as the distinctive Brodie helmets worn by British “Tommies” and later American “doughboys,” German Pickelhaube spiked helmets and later Stahlhelm helmets, uniform buttons, service medals, belt buckles, empty artillery shells, bayonets, canteens, binoculars, flasks, compasses, entrenching tools (shovels), and trench art. Within this HiBid.com category you may find some cloth and leather goods on the market, such as tunics and holsters, but these are comparatively rare due to their age. The WW1 memorabilia in this category comes from Germany, Great Britain, Austria-Hungary, France, the Ottoman Empire, Belgium, Italy, Russia, Canada, Australia, Serbia, Montenegro, the United States, and other countries in various parts of the world. Sellers often post new items for auction on HiBid.com, so come back later if you don't see what you're searching for.
