Description
Grant County Junior Fair Livestock Auction 2024
It is the buyer’s choice on how an animal purchased at this sale is used. The Livestock Auction Committee encourages buyers to send animals through the carcass shows. This allows our exhibitors the opportunity for total evaluation awards. Processing plants participating in the Grant County Carcass Shows are Bloomington Meats II, Bloomington; The Butcher Shop, Fennimore; and Weber’s Processing, Cuba City. Animals sent to Avon Locker Plant in Darlington will not be participating in the carcass show. In the case of beef, sheep, swine and goats, the buyer has the option of marketing through regular market channels, which means through predetermined local sale barns. Processing plants may be willing to purchase some animals, but arrangements need to be made before the sale. All beef, sheep, swine and goats purchased at the Grant County Junior Fair Livestock Auction will be transported to the previously listed locations at no cost to the buyer. It is the buyer’s responsibility to contact the processing plant with cutting orders. For rabbits and poultry, it is the seller’s responsibility to slaughter and deliver the animal to the buyer. Delivery must take place by October 1, unless other arrangements have been made before the sale. Processing plants will not process rabbits or poultry.
Your bid must adhere to the bid increment schedule.
