Dr. Bowman was a retired optometrist and the owner of Bowman Eye Clinic in Burlington, NC. He was a dedicated member of Macedonia Lutheran Church, the Coastal Carolina Association, the American Optometric Association, and a Founding Board Member of the Twin Lakes Community. In addition to his professional life, Dr. Bowman was a man of many passions. He had a deep love for art, water skiing, and woodworking. His home was filled with his curated art collection and handcrafted woodworking pieces. The estate also beautifully showcases Kay Bowman’s love for decorating, pottery, and artisan creations, making it a truly unique and personal space. Dr. Bowman along with Kay were also die-hard UNC Tar Heels. To honor his memory and celebrate the rich life he led, his family will be holding an auction of his estate. The auction will feature not only Dr. Bowman’s beloved art collection and woodworking creations but also the exquisite decor, pottery, and artisan items that Kay Bowman lovingly selected over the years. Village Square Auctions accepts both credit cards and cash for local pickups. Cash payments are allowed for approved local pickup bidders on scheduled pickup days. If items are not picked up within the scheduled times, cards on file will be automatically charged.
