Estate Auction Weekend! It began on a journey to the top of the mountain. Travelling through snow packed mountain sides to a windy driveway that led to the most magnificent estate. The massive glass door and floor to ceiling windows revealed the beauty as I approached. Rare collections of fine art, rare autographed sports memorabilia, bronze sculptures, and other rare finds were on full display in this spectacular abode. The art consisted of famed artists including works from the likes of Norman Rockwell highlighted by two artist proofs, ocean themed art by Robert Lyn Nelson similar to the great Wyland, Native American prints by Boyd Elder, if you are into clowns we even have a couple Red Skeltons, Leroy Neiman artist proof, as well as Charles Bragg art and a stunning sculpture "Court of Appeals," and a plethora of other fine art pieces. Sports memorabilia fit for the Hall Of Fame made its presence felt with awesome boxing memorabilia including a signed Muhammed Ali glove, signed Oscar de Lehoya boxing glove art display, autographed NFL jerseys by future Hall of Famers Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers. Talking about rare signatures it is not too often we have a piece signed by the great Abraham Lincoln and even a couple other presidents. These unique pieces of American history should be in a museum themselves but luckily for you, we are giving you the opportunity to take history home with you. As our venture continues this week, we see collections of fine jewelry with stunning blue sapphires accented by round brilliant cut diamonds, southwest sterling silver and turquoise jewelry, diamond engagement ring, custom gold designs, and a David Yurman designer ring. Lightning Auction's prides itself on the impressive coin collection we offer each and every week. This catalog does not disappoint with Morgan silver dollars from the GSA hoard graded by NGC MS64, rare 1874-CC seated liberty silver half dollar, bulk lots of coins, rare lower denomination coins including rare Bufalo Nickels. I could keep this going all day but you might as well make the trip in to see what other treasures we have on display for all to enjoy.
