"The Firebirds have partnered with The Old Newsboys of Flint to be the recipient of our 2nd Annual Ugly Sweater night. We will be auctioning off our Ugly Sweater Jerseys after the game and all of the proceeds will help provide a Christmas for Children in need throughout Flint and Genesee County," “This event gives people a chance to have fun,” says Old Newsboys Executive Director, Christopher Hamilton, “while contributing to a worthy cause.” Proceeds from this event will provide Christmas boxes to needy children in Genesee County. The Old Newsboys have put presents under the tree for over 800,000 children across Genesee County. Last year alone, 6,436 children received gifts from the Old Newsboys. “With the support of the community we’re making a difference,” continues Hamilton, “one child at a time.”
