Description
Bontrager's Spring Consignment Auction includes equipment, machinery, tractors, vehicles, tools, hardware and more! Most items are located in Alexander, however some items will require pick up in other locations including Bennington, Farmington, Darien, and Piffard- please read descriptions carefully. We are no longer taking consignments for this auction. PREVIEW: Wednesday, May 5 from 3 - 5 pm Saturday, May 8 from 9 - 11 am Location: 9921 Hickox Road, Alexander, NY 14005 MERCHANDISE PICK UP LOCATION/DATE: Buyers will be picking up their purchases on May 13 - 15. (There will be multiple pick-up locations. Please look at the lot description for specific information.) Pick-up is by appointment- only one appointment is needed no matter how many locations you are picking up at. SHIPPING: There is no shipping for this auction. PAYMENT: At the close of the auction all payments will automatically be charged to the buyer's credit/debit card used at registration. MERCHANDISE PICK UP PROCEDURE: -Bring your own copy (paper or electronic) of your receipt. It is the buyer’s responsibility to make sure all items are loaded and in expected condition. Once the item leaves the premises, there will be no exchanges, returns, or refunds. -If you are unable to pick up on the scheduled date, please send someone in your place or kindly refrain from bidding in this auction. We are unable to accommodate multiple dates for pickup. There is a $20 charge, plus staff time, trucking fees, and storage for bringing items to our auction center from the auction location. Items not picked up on the scheduled date will be resold to cover our fees. -Customers will be assisted by appointment times for pickup. Sometimes it will be necessary for customers to enter the building to remove merchandise. Masks are required by NYS law, and the number of people in the building will be limited (by appointment time). Customers should come prepared to remove the items themselves and bring any assistance or tools they may need. Buyers who have bought large lots should make early appointments to allow for the time needed to load.
By bidding with our auction company, you are agreeing to the following. -ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Everything is sold "AS IS" with no guarantees unless otherwise stated by the auctioneer. It is the responsibility of the bidder to assure him or herself as to the condition of items prior to bidding. No chargebacks are allowed. -CONDITION REPORTS given by the staff of Bontrager’s Auction Service are subjective, and while we strive to be honest, we will not be held responsible or liable for any errors in description. Buyer is responsible for examining items or obtaining adequate information about the item before bidding. Auction company does not take responsibility for the buyer's failure to examine or obtain information. Merchandise is not subject to adjustments once the item has been sold. -LIABILITY: Bontrager Real Estate & Auction Service and its staff will not be held responsible or liable for any errors in absentee/left bids or phone bids, nor for the possible failure to execute any bids for any reason. -PAYMENT is due in full within the time limits posted in the auction. For online auctions, all payments will be made through the credit/debit card provided at registration. We accept Visa, MasterCard or Discover. 13% buyer's premium and NYS sales tax is added to all items purchased. Late payment will result in a $25 late fee. Buyers with declined credit cards must provide payment information at the following link: http://www.bontragerauction.com/payment-verification/ Credit/debit card payments will not be taken over the phone. -ADDITIONAL CHARGES are as listed unless otherwise stated within the auction: -Failure to pick up auction purchases within designated time frame- $20. - Purchased items left at auction site- minimum $20 plus the cost of disposal. -Removal of purchases from auction site- $20 (large items such as vehicles, machinery, etc. will be subject to a $20 per hour removal fee. Storage at our auction facility- $10 per week. Packing materials needed at auction site: 50 cents per box. Packing/handling in preparation for shipping starts at $5 and is dependent on staff time, materials, and size/weight/fragility of item. Transporting items to a shipping facility for professional packaging-$5 to $20 depending on size/distance traveled. -CONTRACT: By bidding with our auction you are entering into a contract with our terms and conditions. You are accepting responsibility to perform your duties as winning bidder, and agreeing that Bontrager Real Estate & Auction Service, its employees, officers, owners, representatives, agents, and consignors will not be held liable for any losses, claims, liabilities, judgments, expenses, fees, or other damages arising from the use of our services, website, auction property, and this site, including property damage, injuries, dispute with another bidder, or breach by bidder of this site. Any liability to a purchaser will not exceed the purchase price actually paid. Failure of bidder to uphold the bidding agreement as described in the Auction Terms can result in suspension of bidding privileges at Bontrager Real Estate & Auction Service. -EXCHANGES/RETURNS: Successful bidders will sign their receipt at the time of merchandise pick up indicating that all items are present and in satisfactory condition. No returns, refunds or exchanges will be issued after the merchandise leaves the pick up location. -INTERNET SERVICES: Bontrager Real Estate & Auction Service will not be held responsible for any interruption in internet service, errors, and/or omissions, caused by any means and does not guarantee continual, uninterrupted or error free service or use of the Site. By bidding with our company you are accepting that this auction is conducted electronically and relies on hardware and software that may malfunction without warning. -RIGHT TO SUSPEND PRIVILEGES: Bontrager Real Estate & Auction Service has the right to void any sale, suspend bidding, re-sell any item/lots for any other reason. -SALES TAX & BUYER’S PREMIUM: All sales are subject to appropriate sales tax and buyer's premium. Buyer's premium is 13% of purchase price and is subject to sales tax. Sales tax exempt paperwork must be complete and submitted, no later than one hour prior to the close of any auction. If the correct forms are not provided or complete, sales tax will be charged. Once it is charged, it will not be refunded. It is best to submit sales tax exempt documents as soon as possible so any issues can be resolved prior to the close of the auction. It is the responsibility of the buyer, not the auction company, to ensure that sales tax paperwork is complete, up to date, and on file, -BID RETRACTION: Bids cannot be retracted once the auction begins. -MERCHANDISE PICK UP: Buyers are responsible for making arrangements to pay for and pick up items within the time frames listed for the auction. Any variation, resulting in late pick up or payment will result in additional fees for removal and storage (see "Additional Fees" section). There is no delivery service provided by the auction company, unless otherwise stated in the auction. Bontrager’s Auction Service is not liable for any damage to property left on the auction premises after the auction, whether or not payment has been made. We reserve the right to impose a storage fee of $10 per month for property not picked up within stated deadlines. Merchandise left 1 month after the auction is subject to sale with the proceeds covering storage and auction fees due to the auction company. -SHIPPING: In auctions where shipping is offered, the buyer pays all shipping fees, including any tax or duty associated with shipping outside the USA. -The auction company does not automatically ship every lot. Bidders are required to contact the auction company to confirm that we will ship a specific lot by clicking the “contact auctioneer” button, emailing todd@bontragerauction.com, or calling the office at 585-343-4529. Buyers who do not contact us ahead of time to confirm shipping or deem shipping too expensive and then abandon their purchases are still responsible for payment. Handling charges start at $5 and are dependent on the size/weight/fragility of the package, unless otherwise stated. -In the event of legal proceedings arising from this contract or from the auction in connection therewith, buyer consents to being subject to the personal jurisdiction of the courts of the State of New York, Genesee County. -Failure to read or understand the terms and conditions of the auction does not exempt the bidder from following them.

Payment Terms
-All payments by credit card at the close of the auction. Please make sure the credit card you registered with is up to date and is a valid form of payment. We accept Mastercard, Visa, and Discover. --If you need to adjust your credit card information in your profile, you will need to log on to HiBid.com, click on your name and go to Payment Methods. Scroll down and delete your payment method. Click on "add a payment method" and carefully type in your credit card information. Please make sure that your address matches the address to which the card is registered. -To protect you, we are unable to take your credit card number over the phone.
THERE IS NO SHIPPING FOR THIS AUCTION. MERCHANDISE REMOVAL(by appointment only): There are multiple locations for pick up. Most items will be located in Alexander, but you should look at the item description carefully because we will note the location if it is different than Alexander. -Thursday May, 13th, 9 AM - 4 PM -Friday May 14th, 8 AM - 3 PM -Saturday May 15th, 8 AM - 2 PM Buyers who come hours ahead of time or "drop in" with no appointment will be asked to wait while we accomodate those who have appointments. HOW THE APPOINTMENT WORKS WITH MULTIPLE PICK UP LOCATIONS: Appointments are booked every 5 minutes to limit the number of people who show up at any given time. The appointment is a start time and does not reflect how much time it will take you to pick up your merchandise. You need only one appointment (total), no matter how many locations you are visiting for pickup. -If you are unable to pick up on the scheduled date, please send someone in your place or kindly refrain from bidding in this auction. We are unable to accomodate multiple dates for pickup. -Masks are required by NYS law on all individuals indoors and outdoors while on auction site grounds during preview and pickup. -Number of people in the building will be limited. -Customers should come prepared to remove the items themselves and bring any assistance or tools they may need. -There is no delivery. If purchases are not picked up there will be a minimum $20 removal fee, plus storage fees.
