"Apple"
Aged Station Bred Stock Horse Mare
Approx. 14.2HH
A very pretty mare with plenty of style under saddle and loves to work a cow. Apple can be caught in any size paddock with a biscuit of hay or a bucket of pellets and will walk on any truck or trailer without fuss. A very friendly mare that been used extensively for mustering in Western QLD. Apple was ridden for the first time on January 25th after an 12 week spell on good grass and a daily feed of pony pellets and lucerne chaff, she humped with the saddle in the round yard but was fine when ridden. When not ridden all the time she does need a lunge but once she is going forward she is fine. She is more proppy then humpy and has been like it her entire life. Apple has three smooth paces, will cruise along on a loose rein and is smart on a cow. A very nice mare to have around, Apple is no fuss to shoe, clip, rug, wash etc and is very low maintenance. She can be lead of the Quad or Buggy and is comfortable with dogs, bikes, vehicles etc. Currently running with mares, geldings, donkeys and cattle without any fuss. A naturally good doing little mare that always look a picture. Apple has predominantly been ridden by a capable lady & would suit an intermediate rider. Would make a great weekend pleasure horse, team penner, adult riding club mount amongst many other things.
Broad Spectrum Worm & Bott December 15.
Feet trimmed January 18
Apple will be sold 100% Unreserved
