"Pidgeon"
Approx. 2008 Station Bred Stock Horse Gelding
Approx. 15.1HH
Pidgeon is an approx. 12-14 year old seasoned mustering horse having done many years mustering and tailing weaners in QLD's Gulf Country. He has exceptional ground manners, a good old fashioned workhorse look about him and is a good, solid workhorse horse to ride. He can be caught in any size paddock with a biscuit of hay or a bucket of pellets and will walk straight on any truck or trailer. A forward moving but sensible gelding, Pidgeon is handy around a mob of cattle and is comfortable with dogs, Helicopters, motorbikes, vehicles and will lead off the bike or Buggy. You can crack a whip on him (He does fidget and doesn't really like it), carry a baby calf and lead other horses off him. A comfy, forward moving horse to ride Pidgeon was ridden by strong intermediate and calm experienced riders on the station. He can get hot chasing a cow but if you don't spur and jerk too much he stays cool. Pidgeon was ridden for the first time on January 25th after an 8 week spell on good grass and a daily feed of pony pellets and lucerne chaff and came back in with no hump with the saddle or rider. A very easy horse to wash, shoe, clip, rug and handle. Although clearly a forward moving gelding Pidgeon walks when you want him to walk, trots when you want him to trot and canters when you want him to canter. Pidgeon can be ridden in spurs. Currently running with mares, geldings, donkeys and cattle without any fuss. A strong genuine mustering horse that would suit team penning, mustering or trail riding for a more experienced rider. No dirt just a forward moving work horse.

Feet trimmed January 18
Pidgeon will be sold 100% Unreserved
