Auction Terms & Conditions Bidding Style is Staggered: Each lot will close 1 minute after the first lot in the auction consecutively. Lots will begin closing at 7 PM and continue until the final lot has closed. * Soft Close: If a bid is placed on a lot during the last minute of bidding, the time will be extended by one minute each time. **** If you are bidding at the close of the Auction, please make sure to select "LIVE CATALOG VIEW" to view the auction in real time. If you do not view the "LIVE CATALOG" at the conclusion of the Auction, you may need to manually refresh your computer screen. We recommend being signed into the Auction at least 15 minutes prior to closing, if you wish to bid during auction closing. **** You may also enter your "Maximum Bid" to have the computer bid on your behalf up to a set amount. Terms of the Auction: 15% Buyer's Premium for The Meares Company Online Bids. All lots are sold as is, where is, with all faults, imperfections and errors of description. Due diligence is the responsibility of the bidder/buyer. All sales are final. No credit card charge backs will be allowed. Purchases may be removed upon receipt of payment in full. Buyers assume complete responsibility for care of each purchase at time of sale. The auction company is not responsible for accidents, thefts, errors or omissions. Catalog: The Meares Company has put forth every effort in preparing the catalog for this auction to provide accurate descriptions of all items. All property is sold 'as-is' and it is the bidder's responsibility to determine the exact condition of each item. Printed statements or descriptions by staff are provided in good faith and are matters of opinion. ALL MEASUREMENTS, DESCRIPTIONS AND QUANTITIES ARE APPROXIMATE AND MADE TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE. Unpaid Balances: The purchaser agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees and costs incurred by the auction company in the collection of funds. The purchaser also agrees that a fee of 2% per month be added to the balance of any unpaid balance due the auction company and any other costs or losses incurred by the purchaser's failure to adhere to these terms. Any debt collection or dispute proceedings will be heard in Greenville County, SC. Shipping/Pick-Up Removal: All items must be removed during times specified for any auction following the close of the Auction. The designated pick up time will be posted under "Dates" on our website. If you are unable to pick up during this time, please make arrangements at least 1 day prior to the close of auction. It is the buyer's responsibility to provide adequate equipment, packing materials and manpower to remove his or her items. If assistance is required, a fee may be incurred payable to The Meares Company. Items that have not been picked up within 5 Business Days following Auction will be considered abandoned, and no refunds will be given. Pickups: All items MUST be picked up during specified pick up times. It is the buyer's responsibility to check all contents of the package before removing it from the premises. If you pick up at an auction location or by another arrangement it is also your responsibility to check the contents of the package in the company of a Meares Company Employee. We will not be held responsible for damaged or missing pieces once the package is in possession of the bidder. It's your responsibility to review your purchases and their condition. Shipping: The Meares Company, through the United States Postal Service, FedEx, or United Parcel Service, can arrange packing and shipping at the buyer's expense. Packing and shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. All items over $100.00 will be insured for the purchase price. Please contact the auction company prior to purchase for general shipping and handling information. Our first priority is to deliver your new purchase in excellent condition. Missing Items: We document the contents of each package. If we have missed an item in your shipment our documentation will show that. Please notify us within 2 business days of receiving the package if you think something is not included. If our documentation shows it was not packed we will forward it immediately at our cost. We are not responsible for boxes opened by anyone other than the owner. Please check the entire box and packaging for contents. DO NOT discard the original shipping box and packaging if you think something is missing or damaged. We are not responsible for Internet nor platform outages during an online Auction.
