TERMS & CONDITIONS: Per Metro Government Credit cards will be accepting credit cards at this auction.
Payment: All payments shall be made to Louisville Metro Government. Acceptable forms of payment are local company check, certified check, cashier’s check, money orders and cash. Metro Government will be accepting Visa & MasterCard. All payments will be made to Metro Government and not the auction company. Vehicles must be paid for by 1:00 pm on THURSDAY. MARCH 28, 2019. Successful Bidders that do not pay for vehicles will be barred from future Louisville Metro Vehicle Auctions and all other auctions performed by McGinnis Auction & Appraisal Service. Kentucky State Sales Tax will be collected as required by the Kentucky State Revenue Cabinet. Without exception Kentucky Sales Tax Exemption Certificates must be presented by the bidder at time of registration to be exempt. Tax exempt forms from absentee bidders only may be emailed to johns.mcginnis@hotmail.com. If there is a tie bid between an absentee bidder who is not in attendence and a bidder participating in the live auction the bidder on location will be awarded the winning bid. McGinnis Auction & Appraisal can not be held accountable for any failures during the online bidding or any interuptions with the online bidding service provider. All vehicles must be removed by 2:00 p.m. on the day following the auction or between the hours of 8:00 am & 2:00 p.m. Purchase payment receipts must be presented in order for the vehicle to be removed from the storage facility. A valid insurance card must be presented at time of payment in order to remove the vehicles off the lot, this will be strictly enforced. Any vehicle remaining after 2:00 pm on September 29, 2018 will be taken to the Louisville Metro Impound Lot and bidders will have to pay for the tow & storage unless arrangements are made with Louisville Metro Fleet Services for late pick-up.
State Sales Taxes will be collected by Metro Government unless buyer is tax exempt, all buyers must report tax exemption status at time of registration, not at purchase checkout.
A current valid insurance card must be presented at time of payment and prior to the removal of any vehicle from the Fleet Services Facility.
BUYER BEWARE:
All vehicles are sold “as is”. All sales are final. Bidders will be allowed to make visual inspections of the vehicles prior to the start of the auction, but will not be allowed to attempt to start them. Some parts / equipment may be missing from vehicles. It is the Bidders responsibility to check for any missing equipment / parts. Any Police Equipment (decals, emergency lights, communication equipment, etc.) will be removed prior to any vehicle being removed from the lot. It is the Bidders responsibility to check on the Auction Inventory List for vehicles that have Salvage Titles or for vehicle that do not have keys. Any vehicle may be pulled from the auction at anytime to meet the needs of Metro Government. Vehicle Condition Codes: NS no-start. UNK unknown condition, K Key.
Metro Government may impose additional terms which will be announced at the live auction. Any terms announced at the live auction will take precedence over all previous announcements. Metro Government reserves the right to accept or reject any bids.
Load out: Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all loading and transportation of the property. No mechanical repairs of any kind can be performed on Metro Property. Under no circumstances will Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government assume responsibility for loading, shipping or transporting. A valid insurance card must be presented at time of payment in order to remove the vehicles off the lot,. Any vehicle remaining after 2:00 pm on March 30, 2019 will be taken to the Louisville Metro Impound Lot and bidders will have to pay for the tow & storage unless arrangements are made with Louisville Metro Fleet Services for late pick-up.
Any vehicle scheduled for auction may be removed from the auction to meet the needs of Louisville Metro Government. Additional terms may be announced at time of auction and all terms announced on auction day shall take precedence over all previous announcements.
ABSENTEE BIDDING TERMS: Bidders may place absentee bids online through our online bidding service Auction Flex/Hibid, by doing so the bidder must attend the auction and must pay for the vehicles as outlined in the auction terms & conditions. Bidders failing to pay will not be allowed to participate in any future auctions conducted by McGinnis Auction & Appraisal Service, either live on online. All payments must be paid to Louisville Metro Government by 1:00PM on auction day.
At the auctioneer's discretion the auctioneer may use any absentee bid as an opening bid on an item to advance the bidding or use it as the final selling price.
