In addition to the productive cropland, the farm also includes 24.77 acres enrolled in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP). This segment of the farm not only contributes to environmental conservation but also provides an annual payment of $4,191, which continues through the expiration of the program in 2025. The CRP regulations involve a mixture of CP21 and CP23 practices, reinforcing the farm’s commitment to sustainable land management. Beyond its agricultural appeal, this diverse property offers significant recreational opportunities. Spanning over half a mile along the picturesque Shoal Creek, the land invites outdoor enthusiasts for fishing, hiking, and other nature-related activities. Whitetail Deer and Eastern Turkey frequent the farm as well, adding to the allure from a hunting standpoint.
