Lot # : 29 - Fast Pony

Here’s a rare opportunity to own a pony that has lived in a professional trainer’s barn for the past year. If Daddy’s done it on a big horse, Hawk’s tried it with this one! Hobbling, flagging, sacking, lounging, roping, tracking, and so much more does not phase him. We purchased “Fast Pony” with hopes of making a youth rodeo pony, but against Hawk’s best efforts “Fast Pony” has no desire to go fast. He is patterned on the barrels, poles, & goat tying… it’s just dreadfully slow. Ride him with spurs and a crop and you might get 10 strides at the lope but then he gratefully slows right back down. No meanness, loves attention, has been hauled to numerous rodeos and seen the sights - will make an EXCELLENT pony for a child that is afraid to go faster than a trot. He’s a 6 yr old gelding, standing exactly 40” (10 hands), gentle, no marks or blemishes, sound in every way, easy to catch, stake him out on a line in the yard, turn him out with a herd of big horses, or a herd of goats… he doesn’t care! I’ll be glad to answer any questions, he will be available to try at the stockyards on Friday Sept. 6th or before the sale on the 7th, but he will sell in the sale ring
