All terms, conditions and other announcements made day of sale take precedence over any other announcements, printed or otherwise. When the auctioneer's hammer falls (indicating a buyer's bid has been accepted and the item is considered sold to that buyer), that item belongs to the new owner. NOTE: Covington Realty & Auction is not responsible for items once the buyer's bid has been accepted. Not all items are sold "absolute". Not all items are offered for online bidding. We accept cash, check or credit card. A 10% buyer's premium will be charged on cash and check purchases. Checks should be made payable to Covington Realty & Auction. checks returned NSF (insufficient funds) will need to be made good, and a $35 return check fee will be charged. A 13% buyer's premium will be charged on credit/debit card purchases made onsite (not online). A 15% buyer's premium will be charged on online purchases (see below for additional online bidding information). The high bid price plus the buyer's premium will determine the total purchase price. For all vehicle/title holding items, title will be given to the buyer paying with cash only. A valid driver's license or government issued ID is required to bid. All items sold "as is, where is" with no warranties or guarantees. Sales tax will not be collected the day of sale. PLEASE NOTE: It is up to the buyer of any vehicle to pay sales tax when they register the vehicle for tags. For all vehicle purchases, title will be given to the buyer paying with cash only. For all other vehicle purchases (credit card, check), title will be held by Covington Realty & Auction and will be given to the buyer once payment is received (funds have cleared).
