Robert & Dr. Vivian Bull U.S home is in Madison New Jersey. Other homes were in Jerusalem, Israel and Africa for many years.
Dr. Robert Bull
Bull was emeritus director of the Institute for Archaeological Research at Drew University and professor emeritus of church history at Drew’s Theological School. He began teaching at Drew in 1955 and retired in 1991.
Bull is best known for his archaeological work at Caesarea Maritima on the Mediterranean coast of Israel about 35 miles north of Tel Aviv. He served as the director of the Joint Expedition to Caesarea Maritima from 1971 to 1996
• Prior to leading the Caesarea expedition, Bull excavated at Shechem, Balatah, Ai, Pella, Tell er-Ras and Khirbet Shema‘.
• Bull authored and edited numerous scholarly books and articles, including The Joint Expedition to Caesarea Maritima: Studies in the History of Caesarea Maritima
• Dr. Bull, who was ordained in the United Methodist Church, came to Drew's Theological School in 1955 and began his archaeological work with the Drew-McCormick expedition to Tell Balata in Jordan the same year
Dr. Vivian Bull
• . Bull led Linfield from 1992 to 2005 and oversaw dramatic change and growth for the university. She remains the only female president in Linfield history.
• She received her bachelor’s degree from Albion College (Mich.) and later a doctorate from New York University. She did graduate work at the London School of Economics on a Fulbright Scholarship and studied in Norway, Great Britain and the Netherlands
• From 1962 to 1992, Bull taught economics at Drew University in Madison, NJ. She also spent eight years as an associate dean in the College of Liberal Arts at Drew.
• In 2005, Bull returned to Drew University where she later served as its interim president from 2012 to 2014.
• Dr. Bull established a school in Africa.
