Auction Terms & Conditions:
1. By bidding in this auction you are agreeing to all of the terms posted for this auction so please read the full list of terms.
2. This is a Cash or PA Certified funds auction only. Credit cards will not be charged, and buyers must bring cash or certified funds to the pick up on March 5th.
3. This is an internet only auction. All bidding is online. The bidding for this auction will close on Monday, March 4th at 7:00pm. Lots will close approximately every 60 seconds. This auction uses a soft close, which provides an authentic auction atmosphere. Items will remain open for one minute after the latest bid. At 6:30pm a new, flashing button will appear allowing you to watch the auction close with a live countdown. This allows you to bid on the next 12 items scheduled to close without refreshing the page.
4. Two previews will be held. The first will be on Saturday, March 2nd from 1-5pm & the second will be Monday, March 4th from 1-5pm at 450 Gravel Hill Rd, Newport, PA 17074.
5. Pickup of your winning purchases will be Tuesday, March 5th from 10:00 to 5:00pm at 450 Gravel Hill Rd, Newport, PA 17074. An email will be sent to each winning bidder including an invoice. Please bring a copy of your invoice to the pickup. Buyers must bring any help you will need to remove items.
6. All items are offered and sold "AS IS, WHERE IS" with all faults. We encourage you to come to the preview to see and inspect the items.
7. All descriptions are believed accurate but not warranted. Measurements are approximate.
8. NOTICE: Everything should be picked up from the auction site by 5:00pm on Tuesday, March 5th that can be practically removed that day. All items should be paid for on March 5th, but special accomodations will be made for people needing a few days to make arrangements for equipment pick up and removal. Buyer will be charged the full amount for items not picked up, and may forfeit their right and claim to the property.
9. By placing a bid, bidder signifies that they have examined the items to their satisfaction, or that they have chosen not to personally examine them.
10. Fahnestock Auction reserves the right to reject any bid and/or bidder at our sole discretion.
11. This auction has a 10% buyer's premium. This means that a final bid of $100 plus the buyer's premium constitutes the total purchase price of $110.
12. You will receive an invoice listing the items won within a few hours of the auction closing. If you do not receive an email with your invoice, please check your spam folder. PLEASE bring a copy of your invoice to pick-up with cash or certified funds for payment.
13. There is no shipping available for this auction.
14. Fahnestock Auction is a member of the National and State Auctioneers Associations. Non-paying and/or fraudulent bidder names may be shared with other auction companies.
15. Buyer will be charged the full amount for items not picked up, and may forfeit their right and claim to the property. Unclaimed lots may incur up to a $25 removal fee based on the size of the items.
16. This is a public auction and not a retail setting. All sales are final. No returns or chargebacks are accepted.
17. Some items may be sold per piece. The bid price is multiplied by the amount of items in the lot. This is shown using the bid price x quantity. (Example “$12.50 x 4” equals a total bid of $50.00).
18. Buyers MUST bring boxes, packing material, or extra labor (if you purchased furniture, appliances, etc. bring enough people to remove your items) to pack and load their purchases.
19. All items are sold to the highest bidder unless a reserve is added. A reserve can be added any time prior to lots closing at 7pm on the day of the auction.
20. Buyers of titled vehicles will need to pay in cash or certified funds (PA banks only). Transfer of these items will be completed only after verification of funds. Buyer will be contacted to arrange transfer of title.
21. Fahnestock auction is not responsible for any missed bids due to bidder computer hardware, internet speeds, or conectivity issues or for any other reason. If you want to be sure that you do not miss out on an item in the closing moments due to unforseen issues, it is best to enter your maximum bid prior to the auction closing.
22. Buyer will be responsible for any State taxes due on titled vehicles, etc. when buyer transfers title.
