Ok, you are probably thinking, "how many Gran Trak 10s does this guy have?" The answer is ONE more. This is it, and I will most likely never even see one again, let alone own or sell one. This is the nicest one I ever had - I saved the best for last. Unfortunately, I sent the PCB from it off to a friend in Ohio to have him repair it. He also said he was working on an FPGA replacement for the game (I think....not sure). But at any rate, I ....actually I am contacting him now to see if I can get them back before this auction.
Will continue after finding out.
Ok, it is now a week later....I DID contact the guy from Ohio. He had moved to Kansas, but still had the Gran Trak 10 PCB(s)....and he shipped them back to me!!! So now I have the PCB and can sell this as a complete (but still non-working) game!
This is the nicest of the three I had....I always keep the best for last. This one is still rough, but at least it isn't completely falling apart. Just almost falling apart lol.
This is a SUPER rare game. I've only seen 3 of them in my life - they were all at the same place, and I bought all three. Never seen another before or after. You may have thought that you lost your opportunity to buy one when you saw one sell a few months ago.
The cabinet is pretty rough - it did get wet on the bottom at some point. So there is some expansion in the cabinet around the bottom.
The monitor does light up with neck glow when powered, and it does display a narrow band of a picture, but clearly not working right at the moment.
The sides have formica and therefore are in pretty nice shape with decent looking artwork. I wish they had used formica on all games. This is such a unique and rare game that it's worth buying for your collection, even if you never get it working.
This IS the last chance you will have to buy a Gran Trak 10 at least from me...if not from anyone. I'm not trying to scare or threaten you - just want to make sure you recognize the significance of this moment. You know what Jordan Peterson says - whenever you get an opportunity take it very seriously - opportunities don't come around very often. Not sure if he was talking about opportunities to purchase rare arcade games but I think it fits.
