This is an interesting little games.....a horseshoe throwing game called American Horseshoes! There are very few horseshoe throwing games out there. I can only think of one other - Shuuz from Atari, which is also from this same era.
This game is fully working with a gorgeous picture on the Sanyo EZ20 monitor. The trackball has been rebuilt and rolls nicely and smoothly. It plays great and looks like it will be a very fun game with some depth. I didn't have time to play it for long - just long enough to make sure it was fully working.
The marquee lamps have been replaced with new LED bulbs. The cabinet was originally built as a Midway Galaxian. I'm not sure what other games it has been, but was converted at some point to this game. It's a decent conversion, but not in perfect condition. As you can see, the control panel overlay has some wear and tear on it.
The marquee is in excellent shape and looks really nice lit up. The bezel is actually the original Galaxian bezel, flipped upside down and with some instructions added on top. The control panel has some wear and tear as already mentioned. The coin door is decent and has one coin mech and a new lock.
I actually just picked this game up this week from a woman who called and told me her boyfriend had died, and this game was in their possession, and she didn't know what to do with it. I paid her more than it was worth because I felt sorry for her. But decided to just flip it here in my auction and recoup at least some of my donation. I would keep it for my Arcadia Unlimited expansion, and probably should. But it isn't really pretty enough and I don't want to take the time to make it prettier. So my loss will be your gain!
This is one that doesn't come around very often to say the least. I've never owned another one. Even galloping ghost doesn't have this game!
Please note: Sometimes in the pictures above (and even sometimes in the video), the monitor looks like it isn't displaying correctly. However, that is only because the shutter speed is too fast on my phone camera. So it captures the picture while the monitor is drawing the screen and looks like half the screen is missing. Usually this is not as bad in videos, so watch the video included above and you should be able to see that the monitor has a great picture (although sometimes it looks funny even in videos). You are just going to have to trust me that, unless I specifically mention it above, the picture is good on this monitor in real life.
