Lead Nice working Rowe BC-9 bill changer in great shape
Description
This is a really nice looking classic, vintage, dependable bill changer from Rowe - the workhorse BC-9. It features 3 coin hoppers and a high capacity bill accepter / stacker. This one only takes $1 bills as far as I know. But it is working nicely and smoothly. You can see me demonstrate it in the video above. HOWEVER, this machine can be updated to take 1,2,5,10, and 20 dollar bills. The way you need to do that is by purchasing a kit from Capital Vending in Maryland. This kit replaces the computer and bill acceptor portion of the BC9, and reuses the hoppers and bucket system from the Rowe. It will basically make this into a modern, reliable changer that will run for decades. I've got a couple of Rowes that have been updated with that Capital Vending kit and it makes them bulletproof. Of course, Rowes are made bulletproof to begin with, but with these old BC9s, I don't think you could ever take 10 or 20 dollar bills, so you need the Capital Vending kit for that. However, if you just need a $1 bill changer, this thing is ready to go right now. The video shows it with only one coin hopper, but as promised in the video, I have located and installed two more working coin hoppers so it is complete now and ready to go. I really can't say enough good things about these Rowe changers. I've been operating the same ones in my arcades for 15 years and they just go and go and go without a problem. You have to clean the coin path about once a year (which takes at least 20 seconds). The only thing that ever causes a problem is when you accidentally dump a screw or two into the hopper unknowingly and it gets stuck in the works. It can happen if you aren't careful (which I am not). But then you just take the screw out and you're back in business. I love my Rowe changers. This BC9 may be 50 years old, but I'd use it over any new changer if given the choice. And if you put that Capital Vending upgrade kit in it, you are good to go until paper money is no longer legal. Oh, in case I didn't mention it, this is also in excellent physical condition. Chrome in nice shape, not all beat up or rusty. It looks great - totally presentable in any arcade. Just look at the photos!

This is the Fifth Arcade Game Auction from our overflow warehouse in lovely downtown Atlanta, IL. NO BUYERS' PREMIUMS! NO HIDDEN FEES! After collecting (hoarding) games since about 1987, we have amassed a large and unique collection of thousands of classic games. This collection has given birth to Arcadia, Pinball Paradise, and the Route 66 Arcade Museum in central IL. Despite ambitious future expansion plans, we still have more games than we need (and not enough time) so we have decided to make them available to the public for the first time. Many collectors have seen our legendary warehouses and wondered when this stuff would be made available for sale. Some may have even pondered the idea of our inevitable death and the following estate sale. Well, the wait is over. We are going to start letting them go, even while we are still alive! We can't take 'em with us! The majority of these games are "as found" from our countless warehouse raids over the last 35 years. While some are in rough condition, there will be a lot of rare titles that haven't been seen at an auction in decades. Some are fully working. Some are repairable and/or restorable. Some are only good for parts. ALL are honestly photoed, described, and videoed so that bidders can see everything possible to make a good bidding decision. These items have come from a wide variety of sources so look at each game you are interested in carefully with fresh eyes. Just because one game is a water damaged junker doesn't mean the next one is.
All items are sold as-is, where is. Must be paid for in full before removed from the building. Buyers can arrange a pickup time anytime before December 30th. We will gladly help load. Anything not picked up by December 30th will be considered abandoned and be re-sold at the next arcade auction. Sales tax of 7.75% collected on anything picked up or shipped to addresses in IL, unless a tax-exempt certificate is provided (yes, they raised our sales tax rate by 1% on July 1st, 2023). There will be no handling fee for pickups or shipping large freight items as long as you make all arrangements and all we have to do is meet the shipper for pickup. We will not palletize items, so we recommend North American Van Lines for shipping. NAVL Shipping quotes can be obtained us or by you by emailing coinop@beltmann.com and giving them a description of the item, the pickup zip code (61723) and your delivery zip code. We get no better pricing than you do, so get quotes yourself, or feel free to ask us to get quotes if you prefer. You can also call NAVL at 800-959-8880. For this fee, shipping of UPS-able items will be well packaged and shipped for you via UPS, USPS, or FedEx, whichever is cheapest. Shipping charges for these items must be prepaid by you. If the item is a large freight item, we will make all arrangements for you for this $10 handling fee. You will be responsible for actual shipping charges in addition to the handling fee. Shipping charges for freight items will be C.O.D. (If NAVL allows. I had a few cases recently where they told me they no longer allowed COD and in those cases, shipping charges will need to be prepaid).
