This is a pretty rare game, especially in cocktail form - Midway's KICK or KICKMAN from 1980. This is (I think) the first game to use Midway's MCR game platform. The MCR platform was used on a lot of iconic Midway classics such as Tron, Tapper, Discs of Tron, Spy Hunter, Satan's Hollow, Journey, etc. Almost every game on the platform was a bonafide success.
Kick is a rare game to begin with, and the cocktail version is even rarer. It is a really fun game, using a trackball that rolls only left and right (much like Major Havoc). The game has great visuals and music and sound. It continues to add challenges and give the game depth.
This one is in excellent condition - both track balls roll smoothly and feel like new. The cabinet is nice and solid with no sign of water damage or other damage. The coin door is in great shape with two quarter coin mechs, new lock, original cash box and cash box cover. The top glass is in great shape with only some light scratching.
The game plays perfectly and is working 100%. The monitor was rebuilt (by me) and has a gorgeous, perfect picture. The power supply is brand new - I replaced the flaky, undependable original MCR power supply with a new Arcadeshop adapter equipped supply. The boards are original and fully working. I replaced all the light bulbs with new ones (the game has nice little light up windows that light the control panels).
Please note: Sometimes in the pictures above (and even sometimes in the video), the monitor looks like it isn't displaying correctly. However, that is only because the shutter speed is too fast on my phone camera. So it captures the picture while the monitor is drawing the screen and looks like half the screen is missing. Usually this is not as bad in videos, so watch the video included above and you should be able to see that the monitor has a great picture (although sometimes it looks funny even in videos). You are just going to have to trust me that, unless I specifically mention it above, the picture is good on this monitor in real life.
