This is a really nice, fully working, great playing Golden Tee Golf game. It is in the iconic, dedicated IT cabinet that they used for maybe 10 years for all Golden Tee games. It's a nice looking cabinet and presents the game well, with a nice huge control panel and a very slight angle on the glass so you don't jam your fingers into the glass when teeing off. The only negative about the dedicated cabinet is that it is quite heavy. But that only affects it when moving the game - once you get it in place and recover from the back surgery - you never need to think about that again. LOL.
This is running the classic original Golden Tee Golf 3D version. The one that started it all, really. In my opinion, it plays exactly like any Golden Tee from this point forward, even up to the new ones. They haven't really changed much (if it ain't broke, don't fix it) other than just improving the graphics smoothness and detail. But as far as game play, it is indistinguishable in my humble opinion. And just as fun to play. Same music and voices. For years, all they seemed to do is change the golf courses from year to year. Then every 5-10 years a hardware upgrade to improve the graphics.
Anyway, this one is fully working with a gorgeous picture on the 25" Wells Gardner monitor, which I rebuilt myself. The trackball I also cleaned and lubed so it rolls and feels and plays like new. The buttons are brand new. The light bulbs and starter are new.
The cabinet has no water damage or other major flaws. It is nice and solid, although a bit dirty inside. The coin doors are in excellent condition, with 3 keyed alike locks, two working quarter coin mechs, original coin box, and even a bill acceptor that takes 1 through 20 dollar bills (untested, but is probably working).
The control panel can be pulled out forward and becomes a nice horizontal surface for easy board/power supply adjustments or swapping games. You can easily swap game boards in this cabinet and play any of the golden tee series or any of the world class bowling or silver strike games without any major wiring changes. Most other boards in these series will just plug and play in this cabinet.
The game has the original back door with lock.
Please note: Sometimes in the pictures above (and even sometimes in the video), the monitor looks like it isn't displaying correctly. However, that is only because the shutter speed is too fast on my phone camera. So it captures the picture while the monitor is drawing the screen and looks like half the screen is missing. Usually this is not as bad in videos, so watch the video included above and you should be able to see that the monitor has a great picture (although sometimes it looks funny even in videos). You are just going to have to trust me that, unless I specifically mention it above, the picture is good on this monitor in real life.
