Lead Rare 1985 Bally CYBERNAUT pinball machine shopped
Description
One of the rarer pinballs out there - under 1000 made back in 1985. But a great game, nonetheless - CYBERNAUT! This was the LAST Bally game to use this particular solid-state PCB system. Originally designed and deployed 10 years earlier in Bow and Arrow. It was really quite successful design. This Cybernaut is shopped and 100% working. It has been "LED"ed, which means all the bulbs have been replaced with their newer LED equivalents. And I use only the best Coin-taker Super LED bulbs. I think they are the best available. It also means I had to replace the lamp driver board as the original Bally one doesn't drive LEDs well. The playfield was cleaned and waxed, and all new rubber bands installed. Every single switch, coil, lamp, display segment, sound effect, has been tested and is working properly. This is a really fun game with great rules and fun shots. The ramp looks easy, but has to be hit just right for the ball to be launched into the tube. The drop targets in the middle of the playfield are a cool, rare feature. The tiny rollovers at the top are fun, as you can win a free game just for rolling over all 4 on a single ball launch. The artwork / coloring on this game are also some of the best ever. This game just looks great in almost any setting. I know this game was made near the end of Bally's run, but I think Bally was totally on top of their game when this was released. The sound effects are also great - I love Bally's sounds from this era. The backglass on this game is in excellent condition. The paint is just barely starting to lift along the bottom of the glass, but is still intact and looks great. As long as it's handled with care, it will continue to look good for decades to com. The cabinet is in remarkable condition - especially for this era. This is when Bally switched to using 4-color artwork silkscreened onto decals that they applied to cabinets rather than painting the cabinets directly. It allowed for more vibrant artwork, but the downside is that the decals often would peel off. Most games from this era are missing some or most of their artwork. This game has it 100% intact, and it looks phenomenal. The coin door is in great shape and has lock and key, plus two working quarter mechs and a coin box. The playfield definitely has some wear and tear on it - I can't hide that. This game came out before diamond plate, so any good pinball machine was destined to have some paint wear off with normal use. This is a very fun game and probably saw quite a bit of play. Fortunately, this only affects aesthetics - the game plays great. The head hinges down and the legs come off, for easy transportation and installation.

Description
This is the Fifth Arcade Game Auction from our overflow warehouse in lovely downtown Atlanta, IL. NO BUYERS' PREMIUMS! NO HIDDEN FEES! After collecting (hoarding) games since about 1987, we have amassed a large and unique collection of thousands of classic games. This collection has given birth to Arcadia, Pinball Paradise, and the Route 66 Arcade Museum in central IL. Despite ambitious future expansion plans, we still have more games than we need (and not enough time) so we have decided to make them available to the public for the first time. Many collectors have seen our legendary warehouses and wondered when this stuff would be made available for sale. Some may have even pondered the idea of our inevitable death and the following estate sale. Well, the wait is over. We are going to start letting them go, even while we are still alive! We can't take 'em with us! The majority of these games are "as found" from our countless warehouse raids over the last 35 years. While some are in rough condition, there will be a lot of rare titles that haven't been seen at an auction in decades. Some are fully working. Some are repairable and/or restorable. Some are only good for parts. ALL are honestly photoed, described, and videoed so that bidders can see everything possible to make a good bidding decision. These items have come from a wide variety of sources so look at each game you are interested in carefully with fresh eyes. Just because one game is a water damaged junker doesn't mean the next one is.
All items are sold as-is, where is. Must be paid for in full before removed from the building. Buyers can arrange a pickup time anytime before December 30th. We will gladly help load. Anything not picked up by December 30th will be considered abandoned and be re-sold at the next arcade auction. Sales tax of 7.75% collected on anything picked up or shipped to addresses in IL, unless a tax-exempt certificate is provided (yes, they raised our sales tax rate by 1% on July 1st, 2023). There will be no handling fee for pickups or shipping large freight items as long as you make all arrangements and all we have to do is meet the shipper for pickup. We will not palletize items, so we recommend North American Van Lines for shipping. NAVL Shipping quotes can be obtained us or by you by emailing coinop@beltmann.com and giving them a description of the item, the pickup zip code (61723) and your delivery zip code. We get no better pricing than you do, so get quotes yourself, or feel free to ask us to get quotes if you prefer. You can also call NAVL at 800-959-8880. You can email us at vintagevideogames.com@gmail.com. We will be happy to arrange shipping of games and other large items for you, but for a $10 handling fee (our time is precious). Regarding parts and other non-game items: some extremely difficult-to-package items may have a higher handling fee, and this will be disclosed in the description of that item. If there is no handling fee mentioned in the description, it will be the default $10. For this fee, shipping of UPS-able items will be well packaged and shipped for you via UPS, USPS, or FedEx, whichever is cheapest. Shipping charges for these items must be prepaid by you. If the item is a large freight item, we will make all arrangements for you for this $10 handling fee. You will be responsible for actual shipping charges in addition to the handling fee. Shipping charges for freight items will be C.O.D. (If NAVL allows. I had a few cases recently where they told me they no longer allowed COD and in those cases, shipping charges will need to be prepaid).
Your bid must adhere to the bid increment schedule.
