WORKING DESCRIPTION:
This is a fully working UMK3 / Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 video arcade game. It has a rebuilt Wells Gardner 25" k7000 monitor that is delivering an awesome picture. the k7000 is (in my humble opinion) the best, most reliable, and easiest to service 25" monitor in the history of arcade monitors.
Not sure I even need to mention this, but this is running with an Original Midway UMK3 PCB - no bootleg or multigame board.
The controls were replaced recently on the control panel, and they all work great and feel good. The marquee light is new, as are the LEDs in the coin door lights. The coin mechs work so you can operate this, or use it as a piggy bank. Or you can set it on Free Play if you prefer.
I know that the pictures above make it look like the monitor has a problem. That is not the case. My camera just has too fast a shutter speed, so it captures the picture on the monitor while it is drawing and leaves half the picture looking blank. Trust me, in real life the picture looks perfect.
CONDITION and RATINGS for THIS SPECIFIC MACHINE:
This game is in excellent condition. The cabinet is near flawless, as is the artwork on each side. The marquee has a little bit of fading/yellowing, but not nearly as much as most original UMK3 marquees. Still looks very good as you can see from the pictures.
The control panel is in excellent condition, with nice artwork under the protective plexiglass. The plexiglass has a few flaws, but still in decent shape. The only thing I didn't do, which you can do if you care, is remove the plexiglass and clean under it. There are a few small stains under the plexi. But that is a tedious, time-consuming job and I just didn't do it because it doesn't look all that bad to me - sorry. Plus I just don't have time as I'm trying to get at least 75 games ready for this auction in very short order.
The cabinet has the original back door in excellent shape. This cabinet is really nice, all around, top and bottom, and inside. I rarely find cabinets in this good condition. Especially with a game this popular installed. You will not be disappointed with this game.
Oh, and by the way, if you need it to get through a narrow doorway, the control panel is removable with just 6 bolts and then it will fit through just about any door.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Numeric Ratings:
MARQUEE: 8/10
MONITOR BEZEL: 9.5/10
CONTROL PANEL: 7.5/10
COIN DOOR: 10/10
CABINET: 9/10
Please note: Sometimes in the pictures above (and even sometimes in the video), the monitor looks like it isn't displaying correctly. However, that is only because the shutter speed is too fast on my phone camera. So it captures the picture while the monitor is drawing the screen and looks like half the screen is missing. Usually this is not as bad in videos, so watch the video included above and you should be able to see that the monitor has a great picture (although sometimes it looks funny even in videos). You are just going to have to trust me that, unless I specifically mention it above, the picture is good on this monitor in real life.
