I'm so on the fence about selling this game. It is SUCH a great game. And just to emphasize this point, you have to know that I don't even typically like themes like this. I am not into this kind of macabre, gore, scary type stuff. This game is just so well done and so fun to play that it overcomes my aversion to the subject matter.
It's kind of funny, as the protective father of 3 girls, I wouldn't even let them LOOK AT THE CABINET of this game when they visited me at the shop or one of the warehouses! I shouldn't be admitting this, you are all now going to think I'm some sort of kook. Well, I am a bit conservative in some areas. But not in everything. I'm getting way off track here.
Anyway, this is an absolutely amazing game. The graphics are so good. The gun feel and response is so good, and the depth and gameplay is so well done that I highly recommend this game to almost anyone (just not young girls I guess...lol). It is a great earning game for those of you who are operators. And it is even a good game to own in your home arcade because there is so much challenge and so much depth in the game. Depending on how you shoot, you can direct yourself through the story on so many different paths. I can't say enough good things about it.
This one is in excellent condition. I rebuilt the monitor myself this week, which is saying a lot because it is a pain in the butt to rebuild this monitor. You have to remove the entire monitor from the cabinet to get to the chassis and it's a heavy monitor behind a lot of stuff. Then it isn't that easy to get the chassis off the frame. And there are a ton of caps. But man does it have an amazing picture with fresh caps.
The guns fire and aim perfectly. The sound is amazing. The marquee lights up as does the coin slot. The cabinet is in excellent condition with only the fewest and smallest abrasions / flaws. I replaced a lot of the T-molding and it just looks great. I installed new keyed-alike locks on it and it has a coin mech and coin box, so it's ready to get dropped right into your arcade, bar, barcade, or rec room.
By the way, the monitor box comes off rather easily for moving into tight places - just 6 bolts and it slides right off. I've had to do it several times. Although it will fit into a standard doorway no problem. Just a little too tall for my sprinter.
By the way, I also want to point out that, although this is the first in a legacy of 5 or more games under the same name, I think it STILL holds up as the best of the series (in my humble opinion). Just a great game. I think if you lined them all up, this would be the top earner. I could be wrong. But I would be playing this one. (and I have 1 through 4 by the way).
Please note: Sometimes in the pictures above (and even sometimes in the video), the monitor looks like it isn't displaying correctly. However, that is only because the shutter speed is too fast on my phone camera. So it captures the picture while the monitor is drawing the screen and looks like half the screen is missing. Usually this is not as bad in videos, so watch the video included above and you should be able to see that the monitor has a great picture (although sometimes it looks funny even in videos). You are just going to have to trust me that, unless I specifically mention it above, the picture is good on this monitor in real life.
