Cass County, located in southwestern Lower Michigan, is a popular getaway destination due to its beauty and relaxing atmosphere. It is home to over 100 navigable lakes. Magician Lake, about 6 miles northwest of the city of Dowagiac, was formed during the last glacial period. It is in an area known as the "Sister Lakes", which also include Round, Crooked, and Dewey Lakes.
