Auction Terms & Conditions
We now use the MAX BID option. You can put in the highest amount you are willing to bid and the system will bid up to that number for you.
Please check email junk / spam folder if you won any items and your invoice did not go into your inbox. Sometimes it ends up in spam / junk folders. We will be sending out invoices via email the morning after the auction ends.
WE DO NOT CHARGE AUTOMATICALLY THROUGH HIBID: We do not use HiBid's payment process. We offer other ways to pay including cash, credit card, debit and e-mail transfers from our Canadian customers. THE ONLY FORM OF PAYMENT WE ACCEPT FROM OUR USA CUSTOMERS IS PAYPAL.
If you require shipping you need to e-mail us back as soon as possible so we can arrange payment and confirm the correct shipping address as well as organize the correct shipping method you would like. DO NOT PAY UNTIL WE HAVE A TOTAL INCLUDING SHIPPING FOR YOU.
All items are sold as is. Not every item is in perfect condition. We will do our best to describe any known flaws of any item. Please be aware that things get past us. Please take the time to view all the pictures so you have an idea of what you are bidding on.
During an auction you can check the status of your bids at anytime. Note that no bids can be withdrawn after the auction for any reason. All items are sold as is, where is, with all faults with no guarantees that any item is fit for a particular use. Descriptions are of opinion only and will be done as accurately as our immediate knowledge permits, but not to be deemed laudable. We strongly recommend attending the previews if available on any and all auctions. All bids are legally binding and enforceable in Ontario, Canada.
You can choose to be notified by e-mail during the auction if you have been outbid. Please note that outbid notifications are NOT sent out during the last two hours of the sale.
All winning bidders will receive an e-mail invoice within 24 hours of the auction closing.
Seldom are items sold with Reserve. If an item is being sold with a reserve, it will be clearly marked and identified. For items sold with a 'reserve', you will be required to pay a minimum amount in order to win the item.
If something is unclear to you please do not hesitate to contact us. We can help calrify any questions you may have regarding an item.
We will try to allow veiwing of items if necessary. This will have to be scheduled at our convenience.
All invoices will be charged a 10% buyers premium as well as 13% HST
We reserve the right to remove or add any item to the auction at any given time
Payments are due no later than the Sunday following the auction close date. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you cannot pay, please do not bid. Consignors need to be paid and this is not fair to us to chase people down all the time. Those who do not pay within the allotted window, the items will be marked abandoned and they will go back into the auction. The bidder will then be blocked from bidding in the future. This could impact your overall HiBid score and you might find it difficult to bid on other auction with different auction houses as well. We hate blocking folks, but sometimes it is neccessary.
Items MUST be picked up during scheduled pickup times. If you cannot pick up please arrange for someone else to pick up on your behalf. If you cannot pick up the items then they must be shipped out. We cannot hold items here. We are not a storage facility. If you cannot pickup items during scheduled times please do not bid. NO HOLDING OF ANY ITEMS - Items must be picked up during regular scheduled pickup times. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Payment from Canadian customers can be made in the form of cash, debit, credit card or email transfer. Please note we do not do credit card payment through HiBid and will need your credit card information if this is the way you would like to pay. We offer credit card payment through Square. Once we have your credit card information, it will be on file here for the next time. Also please note there is a 3.5% charge for credit card payments.
FOR USA CUSTOMERS, THE ONLY FORM OF PAYMENT WE ACCEPT IS PAYPAL : If you are from the USA and win items in our auctions please let us know your Paypal email address. This way we can send you a Paypal payment request when we have a total cost for you including shipping. Please note that standard Paypal fees apply to all Paypal purchases. USA customers if you cannot pay with Paypal we ask that you not place bids.
Shipping is available for small items only. Items that say "NO SHIPPING" IN ITEM DESCRIPTION will not be shipped. Winning bidder is responsible for all shipping costs incurred. Items and shipping must be paid in full before we will ship out any items. NO SHIPPING OF ANY GLASS ITEMS !!!! ANY ITEMS THAT WILL NOT BE SHIPPED WILL HAVE A "NO SHIPPING" CLAUSE IN THE ITEM DESCRIPTION.
Handling Fees are as follows. All orders sent in a bubble mailer will have an extra $2 added to their shipping cost. All orders packed in a box will have an extra $4 added to their shipping cost. We feel this amount is reasonable and justified for this convenient service. This includes all the time spent packing, doing shipping quotes and the fuel and time it takes going to the post office numerous times.
It is the responsibility of the winning bidder to bring all packing supplies and remove the items themselves. Any help from us will be as a courtesy and we will not be held responsible for anything that may incur while we are helping. So please bring help if there are heavy items.
