Lead WWII USN WIA USS Enterprise 1942 Purple Heart
Description
This Original Purple Heart Medal and paperwork grouping belonged to Pat Slaughter Long who at the time of his injury was serving aboard the USS Enterprise. He was wounded on August 24, 1942 during the Battle of the Eastern Solomons. His Purple Heart was awarded to him on July 14, 1944. The Purple Heart is engraved "Pat S. Long". All of the paperwork are copies and shows his WWII - Korean War service and after. 1554

This auction features over 300 lots of fine militaria artifacts. Civil War, WWI, WWII, and Vietnam. Items such as bayonets, canteens and covers, uniforms, insignia, sweetheart jewelry, groupings, headgear, flags, posters, field gear, swords, flight jackets, helmets, and much more. We are 10-15 minutes away from the Max Show (Sept. 14-17) in York, PA. Items can be picked up that week at our auction house if you would like to save on shipping.
